MEET THE CEO & FOUNDER
Ria is a wellness coach, breast cancer advocate, branding consultant, event planner, author, influencer, motivational speaker, the founder of ‘Tulips,’ a breast cancer support group, and CEO of ‘Wine and Conversation,’ a non-profit wellness group that empowers women. The organization is also designed to lead men and women into conversations that reinforce healthy relationships. Everything is best spoken over a glass of wine.
She serves as an outreach coordinator for ‘Compassionate Hands & Hearts Breast Cancer Outreach.’ Her service to this organization helps to educate women and encourages early detection of breast cancer through mammograms. Ria is also a member of the board of directors for IAWA (International Association Of Women Authors), She Was Me, and SISTAS.
Life after cancer is difficult, but Ria found purpose by writing and publishing her personal memoir, ‘There’s a Message in your Mess.’ Her heart’s desire in writing this book is to empower women to know, “We are not our mistakes, and we can discover our purpose through the pain!”
Realizing every day is a God given gift, Ria celebrates daily with her amazing significant other Bradford Newman, two handsome sons, Quenton (25), Jaylen (18), two beautiful Bonus daughters: LaReina Newman (23), Brandy Newman (22) and five handsome grandboys.
Ria D. Clark is a Sanford native and graduate of Seminole High School. Upon graduation, she attended Prince George Community College in Maryland, before transferring to Howard University, where she pursued studies in Physical Therapy.
In December of 2017, Ria was diagnosed with Stage three breast cancer. After many rounds of chemotherapy, today she celebrates four years cancer free. As a survivor, she strives to turn her worst nightmare into a dream.
She knows the struggle of leading a single parent household, yet she is mindful to acknowledge the positive impact and supportive relationships her sons have with their fathers.
After years of being frustrated, trying, and ending in a never-ending circle she discovered the key to achieving life’s goals are through positive and lasting relationships. Ria’s life mantra is, “With God on my side, I am alive, and I will fight to live my best life every day.
